Our Story
Homegrown Foods is proudly owned by the Schoepp family, who have been farming in the Stony Plain area for five generations.
In 1996, Jim Schoepp and a group of local producers began offering a weekly service to customers who wanted farm-fresh products straight from the source. The initiative was successful, and it sparked a bigger idea. Just a year later in 1997, Jim made the bold move to sell most of his cattle and fully commit to the retail side of the business.
As interest in organic foods and natural health products grew, so did we! Homegrown Foods expanded in 2010, and again in 2014. In 2018, we also opened a coffee shop and bakery inside the store.
Today, we offer thousands of different items across 8,000 square feet of retail space. We're incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our loyal customers who have helped turn this vision into a vibrant facet of the community. Thanks to you, we are able to keep providing healthy options for our neighbours and beyond.
