Comfrey root has been used as a healing herb for over 2000 years, Comfrey root has also been known as knit bone and has been said to help in the healing of bone and soft tissue injuries. It is not recommended for internal use and should only be used on intact skin only. With pretty purple flowers it is hard to believe that in our Garden we consider comfrey root a worse weed than dandelion!
